You
ask the question, why raw foods or what
is the raw food diet? In my five year journey
of living the raw food lifestyle I have
read, watched and experienced many versions
of what the raw food lifestyle is all about.
To get right to the point it's really quite
a simple lifestyle though many seem intent
on making it complex. In its simplest form,
eat what grows naturally, without any processing
or altering of its form. For example, fruits,
vegetables, nuts and seeds, all can be eaten
in their natural state.
Lots of people like to make their lives
complex by making sure they are, "doing
it "right". Worrying about calories,
this many nuts, that much fat, blah ,blah
,blah. I am not trying to be critical about
legitimate nutritional concerns, but many
become a bit neurotic and it runs their
lives instead of enjoying life. I speak
from experience in that at times, I've gotten
overly concerned about making sure I get
this type of mineral, or that type of fat,
etc. For those of you who would like a more
scientific reasoning for raw food, I suggest
reading Dr. Gabriel Cousen's book of whom
I am a big fan. Gabriel is an amazing MD.
who has studied holistic medicine in the
live food movement for over 25 years. Lives
it, loves it, and is a phenomenal source
of information. (

I have spent the last five years exploring
many different avenues of the raw food lifestyle.
For me, I like a simple, listen to my body
approach. I love to read and learn as much
information as I can and apply what works
for me and my body. Your body and Life is
the experiment. That most truly gives the
answer you want. Hearing and seeing what
others do is important but remember there
are 6. something billion types of bodies
out there. What works for one, does not
necessarily work for another. Unfortunately,
for all you "I want the answer"
people, there is no one magic solution.
In my experience I suggest you eat more
raw foods and notice the results. Many people
have experienced weight loss (I lost 35
lbs), more energy, less sickness and greater
joy in their lives. If any of these are
something you are not experiencing, maybe
you should try some raw foods. To have any
real results, 75 - 80% of your food intake
needs to be raw otherwise the toxic dead
stuff you put in your mouth will overcome
any positive result of natural food and
it's life giving force. To be clear, I am
not suggesting some willie nilly approach.
You need to be committed to making a difference.
It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle. If you
don't want to change than don't, it's your
life. I've gone form eating meat, drinking
alcohol, doing drugs daily, and being in
pain and denial, to eating fresh raw foods.
From that, creating an amazing relationship
with my wife and three daughters. Now I
have joy and love present each day. Has
it been a quick & easy change??? NO!!!!
Through all the challenges and growth it
has been an amazing transformation.
I look forward to serving you through Rawlifeline...
may your journey be as wonderful and fulfilling
as mine!
